Harvey Weinstein Accused of Sexual Harassment




Harvey Weinstein, the Oscar- winning film producer (Shakespeare in love, king’s speech and pulp fiction) was accused of sexually harassing female employees, has been fired by the board of his company.  The New York Times published a report last week about sexual harassment claims dating back nearly three decades…
Mr Weinstein is one of the powerful producers in Hollywood, having co-founded the Miramax and Weinstein company production films have been sacked by the board of directors due to misconduct and sexual harassment on young women hoping to break into the film industry and included celebrities Ashley Judd and Rose McGowan. The accusations leveled against the film producer are that he forced woman to massage him and watch him naked in return for sexual favors.
The 65-year-old apologized and said he planned to take leave of absence.
President Donald trump said on Saturday that he was “not surprised by the revelations about Mr Weinstein being a major backer of Democratic candidates. Many Democratic lawmakers vowed to give their contributions from Mr Weinstein to charity.
