Mr Ababakar Suleiman a 37 years old man has been arrested by
the Niger state police for being in possession of 88 bundles of $100 fake
currency. The police public relation officer (PPRO) Abigail Unaeze said that he
was arrested when he took the money to one Engineer Abdullahi Sambo of Shango
area in Minna.
The suspect claimed that one Mr Khalifa gave him the money
and told him to deliver it to one Engineer Sambo.
According to him, he said that Mr Khalifa referred him to the
owners of the money as “Genies” affirming that he is just an Errand man. He also
said that the man promised him heaven and earth as a prerequisite if he
delivers the money to Engineer Sambo’s house then getting to Sambo’s house his
relative by name Mamman Manya called the police and accused of him of having
fake dollar notes. The police called Mr Khalifa but all effort seem abortive as
his phone numbers is out of reach.
