Governor Rochas Okorocha, the Imo State Governor honoured President
Jacob Zuma in Owerri by unveiling a huge bronze statue of him; he also named a
street after him and conferred him with a chieftaincy title during his two days
visit.
President Zuma declared his sincere appreciation saying he
was speechless especially after receiving the title. He also said that his
visit to Nigeria was to strengthen the social economic relations and deepen
co-operation in education
His words are “ though
I came to Imo state Nigeria as an ordinary freedom fighter but I am leaving as
a Hero. What a change in decoration”.
