Black Friday turns darker for customers as the percentage advertised was not what was given.

The much anticipated and highly published black Friday in Nigeria this year has been disappointing so far.

Customers with very high hopes of shopping wide have been dashed as the advertised percentage of discount was lesser than their budgets.

A visit to Spar saw the place highly crowded both with humans and vehicles hindering smooth movement unlike normal days. Every customer that came was disappointed although in various degrees.

There was no displayed product in the whole Mall that has up to the advertised 70% discount.
Most expensive products had very low percentage between 5% to 15% and 20% as highest which was very rare to see.

Products that had the highest discount are the less expensive ones and the discounts were in the region of 10 to 30 percentages and were mainly clothing and toys for kids.

A customer who came to Spar after visiting Shoprite said she couldn’t buy anything because she was disappointed at the different in sales for the advertised product with their prices.

Some just accepted the price due to the hike in dollar while others just murmured.

Many bought fewer things than they anticipated but no one left without a bit of disappointment.
