Patients at the institute in Marylebone, London, have been taking pictures of their extravagant meals and posting them up on Instagram.

The hospital says ‘patients enjoy the variety of carefully planned, freshly cooked restaurant-quality food that we serve’.

It adds on its website ‘we cater for all dietary requirements including diabetic, gluten-free, halal and kosher food. Our catering team are happy to discuss this with you.’

King Edward VII’s Hospital apparently generates £347,000 a year in revenue for each of their beds.

It’s the go to hospital for the Queen and Prince Phillip and it is also where Princess Margaret died.
