Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje carried out an
empowerment programme over the weekend for tea a seller which is also known as
Masu Shayi in the state.
While giving a speech the prominent governor told the guest
that his administration spent N208Million to buy Noodles, beverages, Kettles,
liquid and powered milk, basket, cups, nylon bags, spaghetti and other material
needed by the 5,200 Masu Shayi in order to encourage them.
He said “we are
empowering 5,200 tea sellers. We are empowering them because we want to increase
their economy of Kano. We are empowering them to improve sanitation in their
services; we are empowering you to improve nutritional value of your services. We
are also empowering you because of the multiplying effect of his kind of
programme”.
He advised the Kano state teachers to maintain quality
hygiene by always wearing their gloves while carrying out their duties.
