Pope Francis Outlaws The Sale Of Cigarettes In Vatican City.



Pope Francis has outlawed the sale of cigarette in Vatican City in order to live by example and also to enhance healthy living.

Pope Francis with one lung has outlawed the sale of cigarettes at the Vatican in order to enhance healthy living though he kept the other guilty pleasure and a tax-free Alcohol.

“The Holy father has decided that the Vatican will cease to sell cigarettes to employees as of 2018,” the Vatican said this in a statement on Thursday.

“The reason is very simple: the Holy City cannot contribute to an activity that clearly damages the health of people”, it said, adding that smoking claims more than seven million lives ever year, according to the World Health Organisation.

The cigarettes and booze are sold in luxury duty free shop of which those with pass-Vatican employees or pensioners can shop there and other pick up goods, food and even fuel inside the city are for Italian friends.
