Three Catholic reverend Sisters of EHJ convent regains freedom after spending 53 days in kidnappers den



 Three Catholic reverend sisters regain freedom 53 days after they were abducted in Edo State
On November 13, 2017, unknown armed gunmen gained access into the formation house of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus (EHJ) sisters, took their time to search their rooms and robbed them of their belongings including abducting Sr Roseline Isiocha, Sr. Aloysius Ajayi and Sr. Frances Udi who visited the religious community and three other aspirants in the early hours of November 14 with the aid of speedboats positioned inside Ovia River behind the sister’s house at Iguoriakhi, near Benin City

Amazingly, three sisters who were kidnapped have been released by the gunmen.

According to report, the Rev Sisters of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Convent regained freedom after spending 53 days in the kidnappers den.

Sr. Veronica Ajayi who was the first to be released was released by 6pm on Saturday while others were released before 12 am on Sunday.

Rev Sr. Agatha Osarekhoe the Superior General of the convent attested to this claim saying that they returned unhurt and were gladly received by their colleagues.
